Riverhouse Children's Center ~ Durango, Colorado Design

Last Fall my children started attending Riverhouse Children's Center. It started as me getting part time childcare so that I could have some time to focus on work. A few months later I was asked to join the board of directors and to help with their fundraising efforts. I couldn't say no!

Riverhouse is a non profit early education center that provides care to over 70 families in Durango. The center is housed in a quaint building along the river that used to be a bed and breakfast. After spending any length of time at the school, it is impossible not to fall in love with the children, the teachers and staff and really the entire center. I have fallen head over heals for this school and am so glad that this is the place that I chose to bring my children both for their sake and mine.

Starting on the board was an eye opener for me as a designer with a business background. The school had done little branding and market awareness and didn't even have a logo. I have been able to work with the board and design a comprehensive design for all of their needs. Below are the designs for their logo, business cards, brochures, and posters for a couple of their fundraising events.

Perhaps you might be willing to help out? Riverhouse Children's Center will have to raise a tremendous amount of funds in 2011 just to make ends meet and keep their doors open. Flat Out Crazy ~ Durango, Colorado Custom Invitations and Announcements

Worked with Flat Top Grill last fall when they needed a VIP invitation for a grand opening for their restaurant chain. Since then they have merged with another company, Stir Crazy, and became Flat Out Crazy (www.flatoutcrazy.com). They have been super busy expanding their operations and are now opening another restaurant in Ann Arbor, Michigan. They contacted me again to do a grand opening announcement. This is the design that is in the works.

I love this design for its simple elegance. The green pocket folder would have a metallic finish while the white printed cards would be printed on a lighter weight linen for contrast.

I had a lot of fun designing the poster and invites for this new bar in Durango. I think that the design is young and fresh just like the bar. So excited for bent. to open!!! Hope that everyone will come out for the grand opening and support them!

Baby Shower Invites

Both of these baby shower invites were printed on this beautiful eco friendly felt paper that is soft to the touch and gives the invites such a rich feel. I wish that you could feel it...it really is one of the most beautiful stocks I print on.
